Villa Chiaramonte Bordonaro is a grandiose work that precedes the Art Nouveau period of the architect Ernesto Basile, who was chosen to design it: it was built in the three-year period 1893-96 and embellished the city with its scenographic, sumptuous and aristocratic presence, the result of a language linked in an eclectic manner to Renaissance modules which we find here reworked and magnificently exalted in the towers, in the care for the furnishings that they prelude the developments of the architectural genius of its creator.
Each room of the Villa tells the story of the family that lived there and still resides there. Villa Chiaramonte Bordonaro is an authentic example of architecture and, what makes it unique, is that it is still lived in by the property. Everything kept inside is the result of centuries-old traditions that speak of an unforgettable past, always made current by these visible testimonies and the collections housed there.
